anyway 40 days and 40 nights is about this guy Matt who after a lot of encounters with the fairer sex and this feeling of utter emptiness inside decides that it would be a awesome idea to go into celibacy for 40 days straight. look i know that age wise this is a little off since it is about post college people meaning adults.. however this one has a special place with me because well i was 15 when this one came out.. and yes i have watched it a lot when i was younger.. it was actually a long time since i last saw it though and there was some scenes i had completely forgotten about. Anywho i do love the theme that it portraits because to me no normal person could ever live in absolute celibacy. People would go insane which Matt actually does in the movie.. not insane insane but insane enough (boy that sounded a little crazy) I even discuss this theme every now and then (i don't discuss that often though) that it is just wrong for the Catholic churches to ask this of their priest and in my opinion this celibacy thing might be at fault for some of the cases surfacing over the years about priest because it is about generally suppressing a huge part of what a human is.. anyway the movie is a great chick flick and it has good humor.. and a lot of cruel people not believing Matt can do this...
