Early Edition (1996-2000)

sooo i have been quiet for some time... well thing is i have been trying to survive having 2 jobs.. one of them supposedly being full time.. so well there you have it.. man i have been tired... anywho i have managed to do a little bit of oogeling at the screen (yes it is a word..)  there are the weekly ones.. you can't go missing out on those now can you.. and sure enough i have done the almost crying game while watching my lost girl and then i was taken to the nice world of drama and laws while watching the good wife and then i just had to go all girly girly with an episode of castle.. ah it has been a good day indeed... oh and then there was something about all the fun i can do with a pair of scissors... that would be like cutting my own hair..

oh what fun that was.. XD oh and it's gonna be so lovely that every where this post is shown you have the title early edition the beginning of my rambles above and a picture of some cut off hair.. that is just gonna make perfect sense ^.^

fun times aside you might have guessed that somewhere among all that madness i also managed to finish watching Early Edition. A show i remember from when i was growing up but didn't recall watching all of it so i went for it and took it from the top...

so what is it exactly that Early Edition is about.. well it is about Gary and tomorrows newspaper.. goodie we got that solved then...

as i have told before finding "trailers" for series is a mighty hard thing to do... so sorry for the music stuff but it was what made most sense that i could find..

so this being a well lets call it a childhood memory i of cause love this series.. thing is i remember skipping school and be lying in bed watching this show on hallmark... and the whole concept was appealing to me (it still is btw) because what would you do with tomorrows newspaper... would you use it for yourself or would you like Gary run around town helping others... a concept i like because it is in that whole human character that i love so much... thing is i know enough about people that i know that far from every one would do just what Gary does.. some might do some of it but still gain from it in the meantime..

and now you might think i'll tell you what i would do.. well tough luck i'm not gonna... i will dare you though...

i DARE you to write a comment on what you would do if you had tomorrows paper..
even worse i DARE you to be honest!

if you do i might be kind enough to tell you mine on a later date

Lost in spring cleaning...

well there is something wrong with the title i know that.... first problem would be spring.. i have been promised spring for a while now... and you know what.. and then tonight when coming home from work guess what happens... IT WAS SNOWING... stupid snow hrgggrrmf (<-- that would be me making grumpy noises)

anywho... this is in case you were wondering ( you might still be afterward but well yeah you know i hope) a random post about well other stuff and then some of the make believe world... thing is ever since we got to start writing 2013 i have been doing this cleaning thing on/in my life... being tired of being in both mentally and physically in a mess all the time so yeah well.. works kinda well except for the being sick pretty much the entire time to...

oh and there is probably gonna be spoilers later on... so just to make sure... if you have not watched Lost Girl do not, i repeat, DO NOT read on... go here instead!!!  I'm serious

so are you still here? didn't you get the message above? oh you have watched Lost Girl.. well fine.. (btw i am so sorry for this.....)

oh where was i anyway?... oh yeah spring cleaning my life... so well being sick and working a lot... a lot lot.. i kinda stranded on the cleaning part... i have however manged to make it function a lot better than normally.. i have started eating more correctly and stuff like that.. still missing a bit on the exercise though.. and even in my movie munching world i started (as you might have noticed) to clean out on my wanna watch list.. i haven't even added any movies for a while now (oh boy i so sounded like an addict just then)

oh dang i started freezing.. again i would go with stupid stupid snow... so i'm gonna break this post up and finish it tomorrow morning.. which you would not know if i had not just told you... go me! or something like that

next morning.. or well it isn't really morning anymore.. the good thing about working nights is oh sleeping in :) and as the morning disappeared while laying in bed i noticed something awful.... I have a bruise in my forehead and it hurts :(

anywho... what was it i was going on about before going to bed... dam dam daaaaaaam!

Lost Girl! this is clearly no secret that i truly love and adore this show... hell i just started watching season 3 from top again just because i can't wait for the next episode... the thing is... and i have mentioned this before i love that it is not just the main character Bo that the writers has been caressing... everybody has this nice dept that in my believes is one of the reasons the show has hit the height of success that it has... and even the dark Fae characters has their charm...

and that is exactly the note i looked for... the thing is season 3 starts out with a whole lot of changes... And there was this nice dark Fae in the beginning... you know who i'm talking about.. that's right Tamsin...

my own and very first reaction to Tamsin was oh boy she is gonna be a character that most is gonna love to hate.. my own feeling toward Tamsin however was.. wow kickass :P and oh i'm gonna miss haley.... and the further we get in the season i feel we get to know a completely different side to her.. when Bo and Tamsin go looking for the real Kenzi she does give the impression that she never really had a real friend in her life.. she never had anyone care enough about her to go looking the way Bo is looking for Kenzi and telling Bo this Bo reacts just like me... also in this episode i got the feeling that Tamsin actually wants this kind of friendship...

and then the latest episode... episode 8 that i got around to watching yesterday... Tamsin truly acts like a friend while helping Bo with her invitation to the dawning... although she does freak out a bit about the tarot card... and there was that kiss thing.. i truly cant figure out if it was because of Trick and that lady kissing or it is because Tamsin really wanted to... however Tamsin's reactions afterwards tells that there is something there to look forward to... if it is romantic feelings i don't know... but hey just half a week to hopefully some answers :)

Alles wird gut (1998)

oh look my list is down to 666 movies and i haven't added any in this week.. i feel so proud... >.<

so alles wird gut or Everything will be fine as the translated title is not really a new movie for me.. i have seen it before but for some reason it has ended up on my wanna watch list again... so here we go

The movie is about the Afro-German slacker Nabou who recently got dumped by the club-kid Katja. Katja on the other hand is well over Nabou. However Nabou doesn't wanna accept this and in an attempt to win Katja back Nabou accidently gets a cleaning job at the neighbor Kim's place. Now Nabou starts her master plan at getting Katja back but along the way she gets to know Kim...

sadly i could find one with subtitles :(

what do i love about this movie.. well i love the humor.. it is a very fun movie that does play a bit on peoples ignorance.. also the main character has a well unique way of doing things every now and then...

also the soundtrack is quite good.. i am normally not one for love songs but hey sometimes they are quite fitting... and in this movie they fit very well.. and i just love hedonism by Skunk Anansie so much i'm gonna share :O

so i was going for the official video but blogger was playing along :S a shame really because the official video is quite special but you can always go on YouTube i guess

anywho Hedonism is the theme song of the movie and with good reason.. the movie is about getting over a broken heart.. moving on and realizing that even though it feels like you can not live without this person who just broke your heart it is doubtful that this person is right for you... and as most of us have learned by now (or maybe that is just me) sometimes you find love in the strangest places... and that is what this movie is about.. you know other than put a comical spin on racism that is bound in ignorance rather than hate...

A Perfect Ending (2012)

oh man that was a movieless weekend... that work thing.. it's gonna be good when i get used to it but boy that 1 hour drive home in a bus.. ZZzzz

anywho got the first few days of the week of.. yummi right.. and already i have munched through the all new episode of both Lost Girl and The Good Wife.. waiting for Castle to come to me sometime in the middle of tonight.. so i was like what to do now? (well i'm still kinda in that place XD) trying to figure out if i should just stay in series-land

however i have been looking forward to seeing A Perfect Ending... or that would be I FINALLY figured out what it was called... thing is i found the trailer for it waaaaay back but forgot in some hurried stuff to write down the name of the thing leaving me to spend hours on YouTube trying to relocate the trailer... which turn out to be quite difficult when you cant remember the damn name of the movie Ô.ô

so friday I found it.. don't even think i was looking for it but it showed up and this time i remembered to write the name down and even to add it to my wanna watch list... and now... i'm gonna watch :P just in case you thought i was just gonna go stay in whatever that thing above was about (oh i wish i had some smileys on this thing...)

A Perfect Ending... hm what is it about.. going into the movie all i kinda got out of the trailer was that suburban mom that are stuck in her everyday life and therefor hires a female prostitute to sleep with her... and then there was something about her having a secret and ehm yeah well the trailer actually had me kinda confused... might be what made me wanna see it so much

couldn't be the women know could it ;)

oh jokes aside... this is a production by Soul Kiss Films meaning it is an independent movie made by women to women... they are also the people behind Elena Undone just as a bonus info...

now the good part (i hope) hmm yeah well no surprises here i of cause liked the movie.. it even made it slightly hard at times to do my drawing on the side.. i just had to stop so i could oogle :P on the other hand it is a pretty straight forward movie with very little surprises in it.. it is a housewife goes on adventure thingy with a few changes here and there.. so yeah well..

but it is sooooo sweet and i especially liked the cut scenes where you see the emotion that the prostitute Paris feel.. or at least that is what i think it is.. to be honest the only thing that really bugged me was the choices on background music.. to me it didn't really fit.. but hm i don't know what should have played instead so it is not really an easy thing to criticize them on..

also in the beginning of the trailer the name and logo for Wolfe shows up.. to those who might not know... Wolfe is an american company specializing in sales of LGBT themed movies and have been around since 1985 according to their website. However to any European readers I feel I have to warn that you need to check up on import-rules before buying on the site since I know from experience that it can become quite expensive to import (but this girl just had to have Lost Girl season 1) anywho here is there website www.wolfevideo.com also they are so nice at Wolfe that they have a YouTube channel where they post trailers for a lot (if not all) the movies they sell at their site so if you are interested why not check out Wolfe Video

Orphan (2009)

oh i thought this one was on the list... it wasn't.. oh well

so after spending the week watching a few series (oh who am i kidding i watch a whole season) and stuff i needed to get my mind of things and chose a thriller as my tool. Thing is today (friday) i'm gonna start at a new place as a trial thingy and i am nervous as hell... anywho

in Orphan you follow this family who after the loss of an unborn girl choose to adopt a nine year old girl Ester into the family. But as soon as they have welcomed her into their home they start realizing that Ester is not like most little nine year old girls...

so i have to get this off right away... this movie has the creepiest start i have ever in counted.. seriously i was almost ready to just turn it of right then and there... luckily i didn't :)

so i know i don't post a lot about this type of movies.. and that is even though i truly love watching them.. the thing is spooky movies is in my opinion best when watch with others.. the thing is i'm pretty sure i'm kinda a pain watching these movies with.. main because getting that adrenalin shock, that these movies are design to give, makes me laugh XD i rarely get scared just hm startled... that on the other hand is something i do a lot in... playing girls actually got me jumping O.ô

so why did i enjoy this one so much.. well i tell you (that i believe is the point of being here) it is quite unpredictable.. and it has a lot of twist that you might see coming but they don't really turn out as you thought they would.. that is in my beliefs the ultimate goal for any thriller or horror...

also that nine year old girl Ester.... (very talented played by Isabelle Fuhrman)... she was creepy as hell... i mean it... it got to a point where a friend i was writing with asked me if i was aware that she was fictional XD i was but yeah well

on a other note.. just to point out how much i recommend this one.... this is one of the few in this genre I actually wanna buy and keep on my movie-shelf... that tells a lot more than most would think...
