Angela's Eyes (2006)

The episode i'm on shouldn't in my current series didn't work...  so i had to occupy my time with something else and for some reason movies didn't seem all that interesting. so what is a girl to do.. well went on my wanna watch list and took a look on the series i put on it. Just for laughs (or something) i can tell that at writing moment it is on the small amount of 315 series... so yeah i went to the bottom of the list (seems easier since it has a bad habit of growing) and took a look.. and there it was Angela's Eyes

oh you never head of this one.. not that surprising... Angela's Eyes only aired one season back in 2006 and well i encountered a fair share of bad words about it... anywho i found it intriguing and why not watch it then?

What is it about uhm well.. you have Angela, she's a FBI agent in a ehm special unit working with tough guy Leo and well geek boy Dozer... Angela is a kinda special agent though.. you see she can tell if you are lying (well on most parts) oh and she is the daughter of 2 of US's biggest traitors.. oh goodie

and nope there's no trailer for you this time.. there might be a few clips on youtube but what i have seen so far they aren't all that good at giving an idea on what this stuff is about..

anywho... i rather like the concept of this series.. reminds me of a nice mix between Alias and Lie To Me... i do give it people are right about the acting part however i am one of those extremely gifted people that can look beyond that fact if the story is good enough.. thing is that i since i was a little kid has been able to live myself into a story so full hearted that people sometimes makes fun and tell me i'm cute while watching stuff with me (or if i talk about it with them) because i am lost in it.. if the movie is interesting enough it is not possible to talk with me during it.. i just won't be listening.. anyway i got a bit of this while watching Angela's Eyes.. the story caught on something and i would have loved to see where the story would have gone after season 1.. this was however not to be and well i'm not gonna lye around crying about it.. there are a lot of other series that are better...

what this series did the most though was reminding me just how much i miss Lie To Me... sniffles...

Black Swan (2010)

So back to movie land... it's been a sort of long vacation for me as i have been doing series for quite a while now... actually have a post waiting to be finished... anywho... went to the bottom of my wanna-watch list (yes i'm weird like that) and there i found Black Swan. Litterally been on there for ages(well you know) and i have been told it would be a good watch... thing is i'm not overly happy about Natalie Portman whereas my buddy is a huge fan... Mila Kunis on the other hand i find kinda cool.. but the movie is clearly about Portman's role... soo yeah takes me a while sometimes...

anyway Black Swan... Well who doesn't know the story about the Swan Lake? okay i will tell but just because i can.. The Swan Lake is about a Princess turning into a white swan.. only way to turn her back is the true love stuff and when mister right turns up he is seduced by evil sister the black swan... making the white swan sad enough to commit suicide... sorry for spoilers there

Now that we got that down lets go on to the movie.. Black Swan is about a NY ballet group that are going to start the season with an interpretation of the Swan Lake... (swan lake is produced a lot in many many variations) For the production Nina is chosen for the lead role as both the white and the black swan.. However where her White Swan is perfect she is struggling a bit with the black swan. Mainly because she has trouble with letting herself go...

oh yeah right have to talk about it to.. well ehm where to start.. the movie isn't bad.. it is rather weird than anything else.. i do get what is going on in it though.. Nina is clearly a troubled young woman.. she has been psychology abused by her mom.. not in a deliberately mean way though.. Nina's mom just been living her dreams through her daughter in an extend that makes Nina strive to be absolutely perfect.. a thing most of us know to be impossible... giving this pressure to be perfect Nina's mind crumbles and she gets lost in various delusions (the fancy name for this is psychoses)...this is ultimately a struggle between her innocence and her desires. Or to link it to the ballet world her white and black swan.. thing is her innocence is not natural and only exist because of the constant pressure from her mom and the over protectiveness that comes of it.. underneath is the desires and fears of a young woman trying to be herself.. which i take is hard when mommy dearest tend to be sleeping in a chair next to your bed..

The movie does come with an interesting concept and i did enjoy it for the most parts.. the ballet dancers helping with the movie did a good job and well the actors weren't half bad either.. and the music.. well i can really be a sucker for classical music so i was all happy there.. hm really should get my act together and try going to the ballet one of these days..

Compulsion (2013)

You know about that thing about YouTube getting me into trouble...well yeah this is another fine example.. like i said in my last post i was doing a bit of surfing on the subject of Wentworth when YouTube was kind enough to suggest me to watch Heather Graham Snogging Carrie-Anne Moss... (i have absolutely no idea why YouTube keeps suggesting movies like that.. no sirrie)... anyway since i'm a major fan of Heather i watched it and i kinda liked it.. it was a bit weird and that curiosity thing kicked in.. so i figured out what movie it was so that i could watch the trailer...

ehm can you say HOOKED?

i mean look at that delicious food... really.. it almost made me hungry... even if there wasn't a good chance at looking at boobs trying to escape (which has high chance of happening in this one by the way) i still just simply had to watch.. i mean its food..

anywho where was i... (yes i actually had to get up and find myself some food...) the movie right.. hmm the movie... so yeah heather portraits this INSANE lady Amy that likes to cook and really dreams of having her own cooking show called Amy's Food for Love... don't know who she channeled here but it is very cute and insanely creepy... like every time she is in the kitchen pretending she is on TV i get a little scared... Anywho.. Amy finds out that her neighbor is the celebrity Saffron (play by the lovely Carrie-Anne.. surprise) a woman she has been in love with since childhood.. after Amy dumps her fiance in a rather disturbing way she starts obsessing with feeding Saffron who isn't overly happy about this... they do in some weird way start to come close like friends or maybe even lovers (as i already told they were snogging)

however... to me it feels like the movie wraps up way to quickly... you have this long build from strangers to friends and then all of a sudden Saffron goes missing and you really don't get a clue toward what actually happened or really why.. i got a small idea since the movie leaves a lot to self interpretation but i just i don't know it was just to fast.. like this long build that was quite interesting just hit an anticlimax and just rolled over and died... oh well at least there was some pretty things to distract you a lot along the way

and not even a small hint about them being 17 and 20 years older than me (oh my Heather has the same age as my mom...) they are some fine young women to look at... and trust me Carrie-Anne is absolutely adorable with her big glasses on...

Wentworth (2013)

This is a result of how evil youtube can be.. you see i have been watching bad girls for a while now going on season 5 (it has some really long episodes and i just haven't been watching that many a day).. anywho... yesterday i was doing a bit of procrastinating on youtube (i was really trying to clean up my room though) and i just happen to fall over this cute little video that someone had made about wentworth and then the curiosity killed the cat... uhm i mean got the better of me.. i ended up watching this youtube-list of videos about the series and then one thing let to another and i just had to watch the damn thing...

so... i'm clearly not Australian.. or american for that matter... so i didn't know anything about an old Australian show called Prisoner... i do however think i need to do something about that in the nearest future.. anyway.. in Prisoner there apparently is this inmate, Bea that runs the prison Wentworth...

so far so good.. now Wentworth (the series) is about how Bea supposedly got to be just that... about what made her into a woman that could run the prison with an iron hand... (yeah i do a bit of guessing on the last part)

well it isn't hard for me to say i feel hard for this one.. as in I watched all the 10 episodes of first season over the course of an afternoon and evening... yep i was just caught on the damn thing.. the stories the secrets the pushing around with each other in this little game of control... i loooooved it... am looking forward to see if they come up with a season 2 as i seem to have read somewhere that they are cooking on... after all we do need to see if Franky gets the girl..

oh right you don't know who Franky is.. or the girl for that matter...

well we start out with Bea going to jail for attempted murder of her husband.. once in she meets Franky, one of the powerplayer in the prison... few days later we also meet Jacs the other powerplayer.. and then the dance begins.. Bea is trying to do right and she is trying (and miserably failing) to stay out of trouble.. as time goes by in the prison Bea ends up a more and more important piece of the powergame whether she wants to or not..

oh and the girl being the governess Erica that Franky does very little to hide her effections from.. basically Franky finds Erica hot and does a lot of pressure to see what she can get in return.. let's face it Franky likes to be in control ;)

i can't be the only one...

at the moment i am in a romantic mood.. don't ask me why i just am... and once i watched this cute little movie about 2 families going on vacation and ending up sharing a bungalow, hut, whatever on the beach... the 2 families being a single dad and his kids and a single mom with hers.. with me so far.. goodie.. so they are not particular thrilled by the idea but ends up making it work since the kids actually gets along quite nicely.. then as all of these goes mom and dad falls in love with all the goodie bits that comes with that... also recall the dad being a baker due to a... ehm well.. nice scene XD

so why tell you this.. well thing is i really really REALLY wanna rewatch this one.. and that is when the problem kicks in... i can't remember the name of the damn thing.. or who is in it... making it one though movie to find.. did a google on familie shares a bungalow (or something like that..) getting the result of the cabin from 2011... but that isn't the one i'm going for.. also pretty certain that it is a lot older than that since it is a very long time since i last so it...

so now i'm stuck searching though list of romantic movies getting me to the realization that boy i have watch a lot of the movies on those lists...

anywho suggestions toward which movie it is will be more than welcome...

what makes a documentary?

Today it has been the most wonderful summer weather and i have ehm spend the day in my bed watching well documentaries... thing was i was planning to go outside.. doctors order and all but then i just felt this want to watch documentaries.. that is not something that happens often.. i do enjoy watching history channel whenever i go home and visit my parents but i usually don't put them on when i'm at my own place then it is more the make believe world..

anywho... i was watching a few documentaries i had on my wanna watch list.. and then i decided to check out what there was lying on my favorite watch site... so i goes to the section of documentary and i sort it by best ranking (sorting it by popularity gives you a lot of documentaries about sex and i wasn't in the mood for that) anyway where was i.. oh yeah the list.. so i go through it and every now and then there would be these movies that looked like oh how do i explain this.... a movie that is acted.. well ehm yeah..

this is what brings us to the  question in the title.. what makes a documentary?

when i think documentary i think of an informative movie involving interviews with appropriate experts and well often acted sequences to support the theories..

but can a documentary be a entire acted movie?

well.. i'm not gonna come up with an answer.. i kinda just wanna share my well confusion

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Gru is BACK!!!!

so yeah when i first heard of the coming of a second despicable me movie i had a lot of doubt... a lot!... i had a problem seeing how they were gonna pull it of.. giving the whole ending of the first one.. but then then the trailers started showing up...

so according to the trailer... Gru has become the loving father of the 3 kids Margo, Edith and Agnes... and then he gets kidnapped by the anti villain league and then he is gonna save the world... with evil minions?

so as the good movie watcher i am i of cause roamed around youtube finding this little baby

so yeah screwed up as i am i loooooove this evil minion.. and the video above has given room for a lot of laughter... like i don't have to watch it anymore to be laughing way to hard... so yeah i was looking forward to these little guys making fun all over the screen...

sooo i was in the movies with my friends and trust me the movie is hilarious... i was laughing like a mad man throughout the movie..

just to clarify... Gru has gone legit, making jellies and jams... or well trying to.. then he do get kidnapped by anti villain league in order to offer him a job saving the world... he ends up taking the job being assigned the crazy kidnapping lady as his partner. during all of this someone decides to kidnap all the cute minions making them into evil minions..

so the evil minions in the movie was not as funny as anticipated.. to be honest i was a little disappointed.. but giving i was laughing my way trough it i have to admit that i truly loved this one.. it is filled with jokes craziness and so on.. and Agnes is just the most adorable thing in the world.. and there was a great story within it.. more than what i recall from the first one..

BANAHNAAA!
