Carnivale (2003-2005)

yeah i survived Easter... or well i'm still sort of breathing... work was fine or at least i thought so at the time.. but Tuesday brought me the message of being fired... so yeah the week hasn't really been the greatest... but i guess i'll survive.. well at least i hope so... also there is something about some promises about not going around dying all the time ;)

so since i'm still coughing a lot the school gave me the rest of the week off... leaving me with way to much time to just sit around thinking... this is so not a healthy thing for me to do so i snuffed up something to get my head lost in...

Carnivale... oh yeah how do i describe that... well Carnivale is the name of this circus thing traveling around during the great depression in 1934. This traveling Carnival (as i believe it is properly called) is the base of a lot of different stories (some more clear than others) and mainly it is somehow the center of a fight between good and evil. We are following 2 stories in particular.. first one being the story of young Ben Hawkins, a refuge that the Carnivale picked up. The other story being of a preacher Brother Justin. Brother Justin was as a child saved along with his sister by a young priest and has grown up as a follower of God...
and then the fun about good and evil is about ready to start

my main reaction to this series is "what did i just watch and why can't i stop"... truth though is i loved it for it's crooked way of life... you get pulled into this world of weirdness (or maybe that is just me) all the while you try to figure out who is who and where this game is going and perhaps even end.. for it is a game.. a game between heaven and hell that effects a lot of people on the way...

so as no surprise to me nor my friend.. i have a dark and wicked mind.. which might be the reason that it was impossible for me to just stop watching.. trust me i actually tried... girl needs her sleep.. but i couldn't let it go.. and when i finally surrendered and crawled to bed i was thinking about the show trying to figure out what was gonna happen next... sure enough i spend 3 days watching 24 episodes... being stuck in this twisted universe... i'm all sad that i'm done with it..

not gonna say you should watch this or not.. it is a twisted and dark show and i know most aren't that into it as i am.. if you do choose to watch it i hope it brings you as much entertainment as it has been giving me..

anywho.. firefly is ready to go on screen.. uhm an young Nathan Fillon
