The Art of Getting By (2011)

oh boy oh boy a real review... 

sry for that... it has just been so dang long since i last wrote an actual review and not just random stuff popping up in my head. anywho shall we?

The Art of Getting By.... Well it is about George.. a social awkward teenager on his senior year. George is not big on school, homework or even assignments during class.. actually he is kinda weird with his head in the clouds or well the head is in a book looking over his amazing drawings that almost nobody ever get to see. Due to this lack of interest in school he get to see the principle quite often.. Anyway one day a girl hits up a conversation with him after school.. this girl being Sally.. Sally and George becomes really good friends.. but then as all good dramas go Georges life starts to crumple...

This was SOOOOO sweet... 

okay now that i got that out of my system lets go over  the movie.. it is a normal teenage drama flick thing but like more and more of the recent ones of these, i believe it to have a really good story and background theme.. George is feeling this type of rude depressing feeling toward school.. like what does it all matter.. trust me i get this feeling.. it is like that these days we live to slave our way through life, first in school to learn stuff that we later can use to slave away in a job so that we can make money to live for,... he also goes about life like he doesn't have anything to say to the world, kinda like he feels like a parasite that just tag along for the ride.. when he meets Sally or well think it is the other way round... she noticed him, making him become someone that stands out of the crowd for once... and quite early in the movie you get the fact that while most people are scared of dying (this seems to be the normal anyway) he is not scared of that.. he is scared about life.. scared of living it.. and i think that is the true core of this movie.. about not being scared of life.. about a young man that has to learn to live life and to become something, SOMEONE..

so as my earlier statement kinda implied this is a really cute movie.. a really warm one to.. made me feel really good afterwards even though i did hit a bumpy passage here and there (I am NOT crying... that much) and i like that in a movie.. and Freddie Highmore that plays George is just plain adorable..


Oh and I have just come to realize that I am having a movie crush on Emma Roberts so-ehm guess I'm gonna roam around IMDb and figure out what to watch next ;)

a special safe place

jumping right into it.. being that i have been working a lot lately.. or well actually just working normally but being slightly sick all the time it feels like a hell of a lot more than it is.. specially since i tend to be sleeping when i'm off.. that is if i'm not revisiting oldies...  anyway at work we have been talking about what i do when i'm off and sleeping seems like a really bad answer >.< and watching movies is a favorite pastime of mine... so we've been talking a bit about that.. my colleagues don't really get it.. most of them can't sit still or stay entertain long enough to watch a movie and some of them even fall a sleep when trying to..  it gets even harder for them to understand when i tell them that i don't just watch the movie.. i am doing so much stuff at the same time.. often sitting with 2 pcs on so that i can play games, write or some other stuff at the same time.. or i just sit and draw, fold paper or whatever hobby i got going on at the moment.. it does come as a shock that i don't have to focus fully on the movie i'm watching.. okay i admit it sometimes i do need to give my full attention to a movie and not just when i watch foreign movies. Sometimes the movies are so deep in riddles that you have to pay full attention.. but to me they are far apart..

so why is it that i find so much joy in just sitting there going through one movie after another? Honestly I don't know... think it might be the escape in it combined with the freedom to do other stuff... as a kid and teenager, you would pretty much always find me with my nose stuck in a book and believe me i am the proud owner of a small library section at home (being i just move i got aware of just how many books i really own) i loved the escape from reality you get from a book, the emotional roller coaster all the while being absolutely safe right there were you are sitting.. i still read from time to time but not in nearly the same amount that i used to.. it feels like i don't have the time for it anymore.. which is probably stupid because all it takes is for me to take the time for it.. and this is where movies come in.. cause watching a movie gives the same feeling of escape, of getting through different emotion.. the difference is i am not bound to it like i am a book.. i can be doing other stuff at the same time.. making it feel like it is not as time consuming as a book.. although the reality is i get way to little done while i'm watching movies.. playing games just don't seem to cut it in the whole get your stuff together theme.. 

one of the things my colleagues had trouble with was how do i stay awake.. well thing is sure if the movie does not catch me i will get bored.. very bored in deed and sometimes i have to shut it down because it does not feel fair to the movie that i am bored.. thing is the movie does not have to be boring for me to bored.. sometimes it just isn't what catch me at the time and then it is simply better to wait until the mood is actually there... but falling a sleep.. 

well if i'm so tired that i could sleep standing then i should not engage in watching a movie.. i will fall a sleep no matter how interesting the movie might be.. ex.? first time i tried to watch Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. i fell asleep before the movie hit the 10 min mark.. I LOVE that movie.. and was really trying to stay awake but ended up sleeping on the floor under the coffee table all the same..

another time i might fall asleep is when watching my absolute favorites.. i currently have 2 movies that i know by heart and if i put them on then i'm gonna fall asleep.. it is a sure thing and i'm not completely sure why.. being that i know almost every line in them i think my brain might see them as a safe place and go into slumber.. this is however just a theory... and when i wake up after i know everything that has happened i know the lines even though i am very much aware that it has been quite a while since i last actually heard them.. 

anywho.. this has just been me thinking about weird stuff.. 

Still Alive....

i know i have been away for a while.. quite sorry about that.. the reason.. well i kinda had to move.. and spent most of August and September stuck in boxes.. i still kinda live in a few boxes but only because i have a busy schedule.. furthermore  my internet isn't the best at my new place making the streaming kinda hard.. and then there is something about gaming a little to much lately

anywho all that aside what have i been doing lately? well my dvd collection has been in play.. a lot.. and after getting tired of watching pitch perfect on repeat i threw myself at an old danish movie series about a gang of robbers.. really cool movies and even though they are of older date and movies i grew up with.. Saturday night entertainment ;)... i actually never seen all of them (still haven't seen all them...but working on it) and then i kinda slipped and fell in the castle trap >.< i love love love castle.. but since i only have the first 3 seasons i kinda ended in dang i net internet mode last night.. so now.... i am going through my entire collection (exept the christmas movies)... i'll be busy for a while with that ;)

am hoping to finish up some post in the nearest future... i will try... anywho... now you now where i have been hiding out lately ;)

what a perfect ending..

I really hate waiting for episodes.. like a whole week before i can watch the next penny dreadful... i have been under this curse for 3 weeks now... me not like... 

anywho.. i decided to watch orange is the new black because it has this really nice thing about airing seasons and not episodes.. which isn't all that bad.. watched the last episode of the season today however... a lot went down this season and beginning with bumming me out by letting voss out of prison.. come on we all watch because of her and pipers little thing going on... 

but i managed to enjoy myself quite a bit on the way through.. and i must say i loved the ending of the season... it was just lovely and it's gonna be fun when the new season comes by.. like really we got blackmail, revenge, nuns almost run down by a car.. what is not to love? 

well was just gonna jump by quickly before turning my head at person of interest... so looking forward to seeing Amy Acker being all crazy and armed with a taser.... ehm yeah i'm weird... just deal with it.. 

oh bugger....

there was something about me watching lost... that got kinda lost somewhere in it all... -.-' 

anyway since lost got lost (blah i need to stop that) i kinda fell on a moment of "oh hello Eva Green" which was a goooooood moment.... i love love love Eva Green... there is just something special about that woman... and well penny dreadful is kinda great... all dark and stuff... and then there is the oh bugger part... it is a new series.. airing currently... and i am not good at waiting for new episodes... so after watching for a couple of days i run into the oh right new episode airs tomorrow.. BUGGER!!!!

then thinking oh well lets watch some rookie blue.. after all i did just leave it... and so i get a couple of episodes and then... we're back on the oh right new episode airs tomorrow problem.. dang it..

so what do a girl do.. go back to lost... well i ought to but when have i ever done what i ought.. right pretty much never... so now we are going to watch the new season of orange is the new black.. it has the nice deal of airing a entire season at once instead of one episode a week... me like that.. me like a lot... 

so that is what i'm gonna be doing for a couple of days... 

Pitch Black (2000)

I'm watching lost I swear it... however... was out in the real world this weekend and ended up at a friends place.. we turned telly on and there was this movie on with quite the kick of action.. i did not know that i missed it... anywho my friends boyfriend told me that it was part of a series and that the first one was little know but worth the watch... wanting to watch the said movie again i found the prequel... hence me writing all of this stuff ;)

Pitch Black is about well ehm this commercial transport ship that just for the fun of it is transporting this guy that have just been captured after escaping from prison and is sort of like i dunno... dangerous to humans... and we off cause is transporting him along with a... oh you guessed?... a group of humans.. goodie that just sounds like THE PLAN of all plans... anywho.. said transport ship doesn't really like being all to close to a meteor storm and ship, crew and passengers crashes on this planet.. most of them being safe and sound on this hot desert planet finds well 3 suns and some nasty nasty aliens with a taste for flesh... good news is nasty aliens only hunt at night... the really really bad news.. well every 22 years this planet has an month long eclipse... and oh yeah it is about to occur...

I don't know why but i always said that i'm not to big on sci-fi.. don't know where it went wrong but ehm i have been watching a lot of sci-fi's in the last couple of years... and i like it... think it might be because a lot of sci-fi's has a good amount of action in them and i am a girl for the action c", ) 

anywho what do i think of this movie...? oh boy oh boy oh boy... there were like aliens and and uuuuuuuuhhhh shiny eyes >.< 

sorry i do realize i need more sleep... on a more serious note though... it is a really good movie... storyline got you a bit on edge yet is predictable enough so that you don't get totally lost.. the aliens.. well i like their design and i like that they used the design.. it is not just looks it actually has a point to it.. oh and then there is a lot of blood gory and other goodies... 

The Clean-up-deal...

so when i was making the pages link i noticed that some of the older post is missing the trailers.. guessing they have been deleted on YouTube... anyway made me decide that maybe now was as good a time as ever to do a little clean up in the posts.. so in the nearest future i will be going over the post one by one giving them a new trailer link when needed and if possible and i will also be adding a movie poster in them so AND do a much needed read through of the post... maybe just maybe i will be able to get rid of those dreadful mistakes i have been staring at a couple of times while thinking oh i need to do something about that.. but not right now... heads up though it might take some time... have a bit of trouble with my eyes so i need to take breaks from the screen.. also i have that odd thing called a life ;)

Rookie Blue (2010 - ?)

oh dang it... so yeah Lost ended up on hold... i am almost sorry... or.. well it is YouTube's fault.. i swear...


Rookie Blue is about approximately 5 young police officers fresh out of the academy... we follow them on their everyday life which is quite ehm filled with dramas.. main goal for the young ones would be the mantra "Serve, Protect and don't screw up"

so like i said it is YouTube's fault.. no seriously it is... (i might be partially involved though).. anyway.. there was these videos floating around and in the end i just had to watch.. funny thing is the videos about Gail (the pretty blond with the nice blue eyes) was what drove me to the series and i just hated her guts in the first couple of seasons.. like really really hated her.. she was so mean all the time... but on the other hand.. she has awesome humor...

my view on it all though is that a little less drama could do but still a great show.. i was very much entertained (which i believe is the point of these things) and like i said awesome humor... and to be honest favorite scene is when Andy (the brunette) hugs Gail (the blond one) and Gail just says "this isn't really how i communicate" really couldn't stop laughing..

so there you got my weird sense of humor along with it there.. goodie.. i'm just gonna crawl into some warm place now and i dunno sleep.. later :)

A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song (2011)

uh one more Cinderella story...

and this time Cinderella wanna be a star... singing her lungs out.. oh and one stepsister has been switched into a brother.. and a annoying one of the kind.. loving step mom is kinda hating on even her own kids.. stepsister has a very bad singing voice and for some reason we decide to do some lip singing in a competition under force but well yeah....

okay so i kinda love music and the humor is a lot better in this one... and demon spawn is so sweet when you look past the trouble he is making XD .. And it is just hilarious that the auditions are hold in the toilet..oh yeah and the bestie of our Cinderella is basically insane.. in a lovely way...

yes i like this one more than the first.. it is like the step siblings are more human in this one... like they don't hate as much... well like not at all.. but the needs just seems to come before family bonds... well for some at least...

A Cinderella Story (2006)

sooo yeah i am gonna put this one in the teen category and yes this is a chick flick like big time..




well A Cinderella Story is just what the title says it is.. Sam is a modern Cinderella living with her stepmom who is well mean and lazy and her 2 stepsisters who are well less bright than most... Sam has meet the prince charming online and is to meet him at the school Halloween dance... and then we just play along with the normal story line of Cinderella.. well..

what do i think of this movie.. what do i think hmmm... well it is modern Cinderella... it is just that.. it is funny and it is girly.. and sweet and well think that is it....

sry for the short one on this.. but it is not really a movie that can have a lot of things said about it... it is a girly movie.. if you like this stuff then knock yourself out if not.. probably best to stay clear of this one..

40 days and 40 nights (2002)

Where are all the manly movies.. seriously it's been all chick flicks so far... :|

anyway 40 days and 40 nights is about this guy Matt who after a lot of encounters with the fairer sex and this feeling of utter emptiness inside decides that it would be a awesome idea to go into celibacy for 40 days straight. And if this is not a pretty much impossible task on its own here we go and ad Erica, the nice hot girl from the laundry mat, that Matt of cause falls in love with... 

look i know that age wise this is a little off since it is about post college people meaning adults.. however this one has a special place with me because well i was 15 when this one came out.. and yes i have watched it a lot when i was younger.. it was actually a long time since i last saw it though and there was some scenes i had completely forgotten about. Anywho i do love the theme that it portraits because to me no normal person could ever live in absolute celibacy. People would go insane which Matt actually does in the movie.. not insane insane but insane enough (boy that sounded a little crazy) I even discuss this theme every now and then (i don't discuss that often though) that it is just wrong for the Catholic churches to ask this of their priest and in my opinion this celibacy thing might be at fault for some of the cases surfacing over the years about priest because it is about generally suppressing a huge part of what a human is.. anyway the movie is a great chick flick and it has good humor.. and a lot of cruel people not believing Matt can do this... 

18 year old virgin (2009)

all right first movie of the day...

18 year old virgin... is about.. Kate... Kate is a 18 year old virgin (didn't see that one coming right). we step into the story last night before graduation and yes you guessed it we are at a party... well THE PARTY... anywho.. Kate has this huuuuuuge crush on Ryan who is well the pretty boy of school.. however Ryan do not sleep with virgins due to some unfortunate happenings after the last time he nailed a virgin. So what do Kate do.. right she uses the party to try and lose her virginity... sound stupid well it is...

so along to help her is a very slutty (and slightly cute) best friend that keeps convincing her to go back in and try after way to many failed attempts. And truth be told this is not really a noticeable movie.. i remember watching it before and the plot twist was way to obvious and well.. just don't

so what is wrong with it.. you mean beside the poor sense of a story line... well this is a really good example on a chick flick wannabe laddish and therefor ends in between and sadly flops big time.. It is like they decided to take a chick flick and then squeeze every type of sex scene possible into one movie.. and well they got all that and really i don't even think guys find it enjoyable.. it is just painful and not really funny..

and really who the hell uses raw chicken breast to stuff their bra so it looks like they have a bigger cup size.. really it is just gross... yuk

100 Girls (2000)

heads up i might be slightly grumpy today... not the movies fault i just had the misjudgment yesterday that i was young and up for drinking until 4 am... i am not :| definitely not.. however i had fun and now that i manged to make myself make breakfast it is going a bit better.. bacon can save anyone.. but i am proberbly gonna end up watching just a few movies today while lying in bed and eating bacon (seriously not trying to make you jelly here...)

so a 100 girls... please don't let the title fool you this is a chick flick.. big one... a lot of half naked girls in it though.. that would be a plus to some..

anywho 100 girls is about this boy Matthew who one night after a party ends up with a girl in an elevator during a blackout... they have according to him the most wonderful sex of his life (also his first i think) but he doesn't know her name or what she looks like either except her breast fit in a champagne glass.. (not making it up really) oh and she leaves him a pair of underwear... now Matthew is a bright kid apparently so he makes up these different maintenance problem so that he can come and fix them day after day leaving him a chance to prior through the girls stuff to find the matching bra... kinda like a Cinderella thing but with underwear.. after a while he befriends a lot of the girls and gains a lot of knowledge on how girls are like

this one has always been a favorite of mine.. think it is the deal with me being closet romantic and... well there is a lot of half naked girls and i just don't mind looking XD.. i do really like the concept of the guy not just trying to find the girl but actually trying to get girls and why there is so much trouble with boys and girls to get along.. so basically i'm saying it is a little deeper than most boy-trying-to-get-the-girl-romantic-chick-flick-thingy....

i have learnt that there should be a follow up called 100 women or Girl Fever.. but never really gotten around to watch it... i might but i have read my share about it to know it is probably gonna disappoint me....

10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

This is like the ultimate Teen Chick Flick... i mean.. I even forced my sister to watch this back when we was younger... it i
s a classic and even i know that Heath Ledger is a cutie...

ah the story of the Straford sisters... Kat and Bianca is sisters very different sisters... Kat is outspoken and not really into being nice to anyone.. Bianca on the other hand likes to be the center of attention. So why are we onto their story? well the Straford sisters are not allowed to date.. or well Kat is but she is not really into that stuff being as she is... Bianca is not thrilled by this since she really wants date. Daddy dearest comes up with the idea that Bianca can date when Kat does.. and here comes New guy into the picture. New guy Cameron is hopelessly in love with Bianca so he comes up with the plan of getting someone to date Kat so he can date Bianca... tadada Bad boy (played by Heath) comes in...

Like i said this is a classic and any girl ought to watch.. i mean it.. there is just so many bright moments in this one and yes i enter rollercoaster land on this one to.. i rarely admit it but i am such a girly girl sometime.. like come on my favorite romantic movie is 6 days and 7 nights.. anywho.. this is a funny and sweet movie and i have been recommending it for years...

#1 Cheerleader Camp (2010)

and i decided to go alphabetical... i have watched this one before so it made it easy for me to do other stuff while watching.. if you have not heard of this one don't worry... it is not that great a movie..


what is it about.. it is about this boy Michael who is to do janitorial work on a cheerleader camp... very much against his parents wishes... Michael is a gymnast that choked during a competition. Michael of cause meets this cute and unlucky girl who needs all the help she can get to win the cheerleader camp competition. oh and there is this gross roommate on the masturbation diet... yeah alrighty then..

this movie loses so much on trying to be a in between... it want's the romance and "sophistication" of a chick flick and tries tries tries to be funny in a laddish way.. sadly that flops BIG TIME!

basically.. just don't go there unless you are into the really bad jokes..

oh a short one.. finished before the 15 min mark in the movie... yeah it is that bad.. but the beaver costume girl is adorable... really... but sadly not enough

That moviemood thing....

yeah a mini vacation... or well.. Easter is upon us in Denmark and i got the first 3 day of as well.. so lucky me :) the plan for the days have been (and still is) to do this spring cleaning thing that so many people cling to.. going okay as long as i don't get to sit to long in front of Lenox.. Sims has been taking up a lot of time.. for no apparent reason.. have been watching a bit of Lost but even though it hasn't turned weird on me yet i am not really in the mood.. what i am in the mood for is teen movies... but since i watched a very good truckload of them it is getting hard to find good ones i haven't watched yet... anywho not the reason i'm writing this...

a while ago a friend and i was talking about these teen movies and he claimed that there has not been made any of note in the recent years.. i disagree but then again i go strange place to figure out what is up on the screen... and i don't trust IMDb ratings one bit.. i want to make my own impression instead of trusting what others think.. i still believe my friend is missing out sometimes because the ratings on the movie is bad...

anywho where was i.. oh yeah teen movies.. there is this thing of defining them though... when i think teen movies there is little with the definition that always ends up leaving me in a state of okay whatever now go away.. gonna try anyway... my main definition on teen movies has always been and probable always will be that it is movies for teens about teens.. there is a small group of movies for teens that isn't about teens, both laddish movies and chick flicks...

anyway once we got the whole for teens about teen in place there is in my opinion 3 subgroups: Teen chick, Laddish and the in between.

Why? well teen chick is kinda a given.. all over the top romance movies that are so sugar sweet or filled with stupid dramas that it could make you puke.. with the occasion of fun moments... BTW way don't get me wrong i love this kind of movies.. getting in an all sappy mood crawling into bed and just get my emotional roller coaster running... looove it..

The Laddish movies... well laddish movies is about boys being stupid boys doing all sort of stuff loaded with undertones of sexual nature... movies that in a comical spin walks the line and more often than not walks a nice distance over that line.. there are some good ones, there are the classical ones starting of with National Lampoons and crossing path with the whole American Pie deal. unfortunately there are even more bad ones that just fails at being funny and goes right to being gross and painful to watch.

then we are left with the in between. I have this one because there are movies especially in the later years that are in the main sense a chick flick but still has the laddish humor (yeah girls like humor too) and a overlaying theme that is to effect both sides of the fence.. an honorable mention would be Easy A. A movie i myself loved and that i have meet a lot of guys (who have watched it anyway) that loved it to because it has a lot of meaning.. though i'm not sure the younger generations always get that.. anywho...

so yeah the plan is that now we got the whole definition out of the way i am gonna watch some of these dang teen flickers so that my itch can be scratched... until next time tuddles

The New Jennifer Lawrence?

got the week of so i'm on some very overdue spring cleaning.. anywho doing this i'm looking through a lot of magazines that i have managed to pile up over the years... newest one i got hands on yesterday and was looking through it just now.. in this magazine there is an interview with Shailene Woodley who has played in the Descendants (that i have yet to see) and is currently to be found in Divergent a movie who has actually caught my eye and is to be watched when possible.. so yeah i just skimmed the article since stuff like that has surprisingly little interest to me... surprisingly because i'm the girl who can use the better of an hour watching Kirsten Bell get to meet a sloth... anywho what bugged me about this article is that it keeps stating if Shailene Woodley is the new Jennifer Lawrence and that Divergent is to be the new Hunger Games.. ze fuck is that about.. Can't Shailene just be Shailene? does she have to be the new Jennifer for anyone to want to watch her movies.. clearly she has been doing something right at an earlier point so why not keep her to that instead?

But to be honest i am not that big a fan of Lawrence so why would it make me wanna watch a movie with the new Lawrence... and more than that if i wanted to watch Lawrence then why not watch the real deal instead of the new deal?

Sadly this is not a one time case.. it is happening all the time.. like oh will Hunger Games be the new Twilight? well shit i hope not.. or oh that is the new Pink (this would be Jessie J btw) and no i don't believe she is the new Pink- actually every time i see her i think she is a White Girl trying to be a Black Dude.. anyway nothing wrong with that i guess...  

my real question is why can't we just be impressed with someones work without setting them up against someone from earlier time.. and if we absolute have to.. then why the h don't we compare them to someone just a tad older and more impressing than Jennifer Lawrence.. 

anywho might just be me... 

I Did It!!!!

Finally... I Finally got through the first season of Lost... Lost is not a bad series.. actually i rather like it... so why finally... well.. there is all them series trying to lead me astray... I have a really bad itch to rewatch the entire Lost Girl from scrats... and not only that.. I wanna watch Veronica Mars to.. specially since the movie is to appear soon... and time is not really growing on trees these days and well the weather is so dang good that i ought to be outside instead of sitting in front of Lenox (just don't ask) and watch series...

i am rather proud though that i have been able to stick to Lost and not watch any of the other shows.. not even new ones that just on paper looks so much more interesting... Sticking with the program.. si that is what i must do..

anywho this is kinda just a post to let ya know i'm not dead.. oh and here is a picture of a Minion...

Frozen (2013)

FINALLY!

i was so looking forward to this one.. and for quite some time to... i even set up to watching it and my besties wasn't up for it since he wanted us to watch it together... so i waited.. last weekend (oh i know it's like i live on another planet these days) we got around to watching it and i was not even the slightest disappointed.. . might be the love i have for all them animations... anywho...

frozen is about 2 siblings a strained from each other after a small accident one night when they were kids... so they grow up pretty much alone all the time.. when the oldest sister Elsa comes of age she is crowned which require a small (like huge) party.. during the party the younger sister Anna falls for this guy and decides that marriage is a great idea... Elsa isn't really up for that idea and in a state of anger she lets her powers of ice show and well then the trouble kinda starts and Elsa runs away leaving everyone else confused and slightly scared of their new queen. Anna on the other hand just wants to get her sister back and that leaves her with only one choice... go get Elsa back... yeah that sounds like an awesome idea...

yeah i was one of those people who found the video with Olaf and Svend and shared it with basically everybody who let there guard down just for a minute... anywho Frozen... well i know enough stories to know that this is an interpretation of the Snow Queen. also i'm danish.. H. C. Anderson is kinda mandatory... but well pretty much all Disney movies is interpretations of fairy tales... I love those and i love this... i love this a lot actually. It is about sisterly love, it is about finding yourself and mostly it is about being free and accept who you really are instead of hiding.. 

and as a bigger sister i can recognize small things that are just things sisters do... and even more.. i think it really captures how siblings just love each other unconditional... well most siblings do though... and that is like the thing little girls all over the world is gonna see to... and lets face it this is a fairy tale for girls.. well most Disney's are by the way...  

 

well now i'm just gonna go back to singing along to this wonderful movie that i'm gonna love owning in the nearest future :D 

Sherlock (2010 - ?)

after i finished Crossing Jordan i was asking a buddy of mine what i should watch next since i wasn't really in the mood for movies and my series list is quite long and hard to get a good overview of. He was like oh oh you have to watch Sherlock I'm sure you would love it... well my buddy knows me well...

we have all been exposed to the stories of sir Arthur Conan Doyle the brilliant writer of the Sherlock Holmes stories... and don't say you haven't... Sherlock has been filmatized so many times... even Disney did their try on it.. (Oh admit it you knew Basil Mouse is a spin off of the great master) and one of the newest hits in the line must be the work of one Robert Downey Jr.... yes i love his work too ;)

so what is it with this series... it is of a newer note due to the fact that season 3 (currently the last but hopefully with a new one on its way)  aired no later than January this year (2014 if you were to be in doubt...) so yeah it is pretty new in it... it is also different than the others... the stories is set in the time where knowledge had no compare toward today's knowledge.. no computers no easy access and certainly no cellphones...  this series though has taken the stories to the 21st century where all those things are in abundance. Where the other side of the planet isn't further than a click away... just look at this blog as an example... i have no idea where you are from but while you are reading this you are getting the thoughts and words from a danish woman.. that is only possible because of the internet that hits us with so much information every second... more than we often know what to do with... anyway i'm pretty sure i'm getting sidetracked here...

I love the adaption they made with this one.. it is absolutely brilliant.. (i'm using that word rather lot these days...) i love the way they made it possible to take a so well known story and still make it new, different and very much entertaining.. i mean there isn't a lot of episode they are rather long but hell i would have watched them all in a days worth if i had the time for it.. It is funny and clever and filled with excitement that keeps you stuck on it and wishing for more and more.. oh yeah i'm not a fan of the "you might be lucky to get a season 4 in 2016" thing that IMDb is showing me... I WANT MORE....!!!

okay i sound like i need help now.. maybe i do.. anywho... what on earth am i gonna watch now?

Crossing Jordan (2001-2007)

I am sorry for being so quiet lately... it is just that life altering, staying out of trouble and mostly watching series kinda make it hard on me to write all that much...

anywho... I finished Crossing Jordan today... again... i loved this series growing up and it is right there among my other favorite murder/crime series... i actually remember rushing home from school (at least when i went to school) just so i could catch the entire episode on tv.. what i love about it.. well there is the murder/crime aspect think we already established that i'm quite the fan of the genre but also the characters... mention this before to... you could have the greatest story in the world but if you don't have the characters to back it up it will fall through... and angry little girl like me loved the Jordan who clearly needed anger management and yet had this high amount of love and care for her family..

oh maybe i should explain what the show is about... just maybe..

Jordan Cavanaugh is a medical examiner who has meet well some difficulties in her job... luckily she gets a joboffering in Boston by an old colleague that know just how brilliant she is.. thing about Jordan is that she goes her own way and has quite the angry spirit.. probably because of her childhood trauma of loosing her mom... her brilliance in the job however is from her father the old cop who used to play murder/victim games with her to figure out not just who did it but why...

so there you have it.. that is basically what the show is about.. minus all the relations and stuff.. you have to watch that part yourself.. :P

2014... oh and February

I'm so sorry for well not writing anything... starting up was a bit harder than expected (dang that sleepy heart of mine) juggling work, sickness, snow and movies into a pot.. well lets just say i haven't been big on the movie part...

so the beginning of a new year... what should it really be about... i believe it is about reflecting the year that has just past and changing whatever you feel like need changing.. so that is kinda what i have been doing.. or at least trying to do... and it may have come across my hobby as a moviemuncher... i dunno.. it's not like i have been putting it on ice.. i have watched a few movies and i'm nearing the end of Crossing Jordan... and there have been occasionally Simpsons episodes crossing my screen so yeah.. its just that other things have been more pressing than writing about these things.. like seeing friends and catching up with old ones so they might become close friends once again.. yeah that is what my 2014 has been about so far...

now the movie world... well oh cause i was in the movies and watch The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug What kind of moviemuncher would i be if i had not seen that one.. i loved it btw exept the ending.. that was just cruelty on a high level and yes i have had the song I See Fire stuck in my head pretty much ever since...

of ongoing movies in the theater there is not one where i'm like I HAVE TO GO SEE IT but i am looking forward to setting my eyes on Frozen and Rio 2... catching fire is also one on my wanna watch list but a friend of mine had already seen it and advised me to wait until the next part comes out

unto the universe of upcoming movice.. well my besties is convinced that i just have to watch Lego Movie... i'm not in the same state of convinced that he is but we'll see.. To be honest i'm not good at getting scoop on what is gonna show up in this year so i'm slightly cheating by looking at a list for upcomming movies... well at least i have watch the trailers for them..

oh Pompeii is gonna come in march.. that looked so awesome when i watched the trailer and yeah i kinda dig historical movies.. i am afraid though that this one might be too romantic and well it is a risk... the book thief where did i stumble upon that one before.. looked promising i remember that much...

other than that it is not much.. sure i am gonna watch the new x-men at some point.. right after i get my act together and watch the new wolverine..

but here is some i don't need to find at a list to tell you that i can't wait to see... i have snooped up (well someone told me) that they are making a Veronica Mars Movie... uh uh uh can you say want? i absolutely looooooved the series and i was so sad about them cancelling season 4.. it was so much better than Buffy... anywho the old crew have been found to make this movie happen and yeah if it shows in theater around here in small and slightly dull DK i'm soooo there.. and i'll bring along a nice friend ;)

then there is how to train your dragon 2... well since i watched the first one over 20 times in a single december it is a no brainer that i have to watch the second one.. so yeah that one is on my list...

then there is only left to wait until the next hobbit arrives and that we reach 2016 to say Hi to the lovely Captain Jack Sparrow and of cause that they finish making the Finding Dory movie.. like it is Dory.. who doesn't love her?
